A Preview Of Saturday Major EPL Fixtures

As battle for a place in the Uefa Champions League heats up, we look into the fixtures of the contenders of a place in the Champions, including Manchester City as they continue to their Journey to the EPL title.

Liverpool vs Norwich 3pm UK 

A clash between to sides at opposite ends of the league, with Liverpool trying to keep up with Manchester city at the top of the table and Norwich trying to avoid the drop this season.

With Manchester city lead at the top of the table, Liverpool know they will have to keep winning every game to keep up with the league leaders, playing first this weekend will be an advantage for the Reds in their bid to heap pressure on the league leaders.

Norwich would have hope of surviving relegation this season having lost just one of their last four fixtures in the league. Anfield would be a difficult ground to visit having only won one of 

their last 12 games on the ground.

Liverpool would be without Diogo Jota but could have Firmino, Henderson and Matip back.

Norwich on the other side will be without Adam Idah, but will have Mattia Normann back soon among others.

Arsenal vs Brentford 3pm UK time

Arsenal take on Brentford at the emirates in what will be a replay of the first game of the season, a game in which Arsenal lost by two un replied goals, that defeat was the third straight time Arsenal have lost their opening game of the season. The Gunners can focus their attention on securing a place in next season champions league having been knocked out of their domestic competition.

Their victory last Tim out against Wolves was their first in their last six fixtures and they will be hoping to build on that when they take on Brentford at the Emirates.

They will be without Martinelli who was sent off vs Wolves but will have other players available.

Crystal Palace vs Chelsea 3pm UK time

Chelsea take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in a London derby fresh from being crowned champions of the world.

The game will be Chelsea first league fixture in close to a month, their opposition Crystal Palace still yet to win a game in the league since the new year. Although Chelsea have failed to win consecutive games in the league since October they remain third, six point above London club West Ham who sit in 5th.

This will be an opportunity to record their first consecutive victory in a while with their last league fixture being a 2-0 win over spurs.

 Chelsea absentees for the game include Reece James, Ben Chillwell, and Mason Mount.

Score prediction Crystal Palace 1:2 Chelsea.

Manchester city vs Tottenham 5:30 UK

Manchester city take on Tottenham seeking to strengthen their hold on first place in their bid to secure the EPL this season. Opposition Tottenham occupy eight place, seven points behind the Red devils in fourth position.

City are 9 points ahead in the league but the Reds have a game in hand so city can’t afford to take their eyes off the ball. They lost last time out to Tottenham earlier this season but they have the best home record in the league picking up 31 points from 12 matches, winning 10 out of 12 games this season.

Jack Grealish and Gabriel Jesus will be out due to recent injuries, as for Tottenham Tanganga and Oliver Skipp are unavailable.

Score prediction: Manchester city 3:1 Tottenham.
