FC Barcelona returned to the top 4 in the La Liga Santander table when they thrashed Valencia by 4 goals to 1 earlier today.
The Catalan giants put up one of their best performances this season in the game at the Metsalla Stadium.
Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang opened the scoring for Xavi Hernandez’s men in the 23rd minute before Frenkie De Jong added a second 9 minutes later.
Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang doubled his goal tally in the 38th minute following a lovely pass by Pablo Gavira.
Valencia pulled one back through Carlos Soler in the 52nd minute, however, Pedri Gonzalez made sure the game is beyond reach for the hosts when he scored a lovely goal in the 63rd minute.

Marc Andre Ter Stegen
Although the German goalie was quite nervy in the game, he pulled some important saves for the team.
The fullback was constantly going on overlaps. He was great in helping the attack and provided a nice assist too.
The Uruguayan was very solid at the back. He recorded a lot of successful tackles and made a number of important clearances
Though he was substituted at half time, Eric Garcia’s display at the back was much improved.
Replacing the veteran Dani Alves at right back, Sergino Dest got forward quite well at times. However, Valencia threatened Barca a lot from his position.
Frenkie De Jong
Finally looks back to his usual self. Scored the second goal of the game and his overall play was quite good until he was substituted after 60 minutes.
The club captain held things down in the middle of the park. Didn’t really add anything special.
The youngster assisted Aubameyang’s second. His movement on and off the ball was impressive all afternoon.
Though he didn’t manage to score a goal or record an assist, the ex-Valencia man still caused his team’s defense a lot of problems.
What a performance from the Gabonese international. The ex-Arsenal man’s positioning was superb as he netted a brace in the game.
The French man’s performance this evening was also superb. He gave Valencia’s defense a tough time through his impressive dribbling and body movements.
Without a doubt, he looked livelier and fitter in the game. With these kind of performances, the Frenchman could win the trust of Barca fans once again

The youngster continued to show why he’s highly rated by Xavi Hernandez and the people at the club.
He scored the 4th goal of the game. Apart from that, he controlled the midfield quite well.
