ASUU Speaks On Ending Strike, Negotiating With FG

The president of the federal republic of Nigeria, President Buhari-led administeration has accused ASUU of showing levity in it’s ongoing dialogue on how to resolve their dispute and call off the ongoing strike.

However, ASUU’s leader, Osodeke Emmanuel, disclose that ending the strike is no longer dependent on them but the Federal Government as they know whoat to do in order for the strike to be called off.

Recall that ASUU embarked on a one month warning strike on the 14th of February, 2022 and further threatened to engage on an indefinitely satike if their needs are not ment.

Emmanuel further said that the previous meeting they had was not fruitful as a result of how the government responded to the situation at hand. He said the government acted as if it isn’t awear of the issues at hand.

He started that the actions and readiness of the federal government would determine if the strike would end or not. He said this as he answered news men who asked when the issue would be resolved.

There is still hope as both parties are set to met again on Monday for another dialogue.
