ISWAP Militants Kills 11 Farmers In Borno

During an assault in the southern portion of Borno State on Saturday, 11 farmers were slain by alleged members of the Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP).

On Saturday, ISWAP assaulted a rural community called Sabon-Gari in the Damboa Local Government Area of the state. The community is around 125 kilometers from the state capital, Maiduguri.

According to a security source, seven corpses were discovered on Saturday, with four more discovered on Sunday afternoon.

According to another story, one of the victims was a woman.

“We(combined security forces) recovered a total of 11 dead bodies of farmers, they were all shot several times, they will be buried later in the day according to Islamic rite.” the source said.
