Nigerian security forces have been the worst hit by last week’s killings across the country, with 80 percent of those killed.
Of the 30 people killed last week, 20 were government security officers, while 4 were vigilantes working as volunteers.
Of the 20 security personnel, 16 are police officers, including officers from the National Rehabilitation Agency and an official with the National Drug Enforcement Agency.
The incident took place last week, in which 18 police officers and six soldiers were killed by gunmen.
But a total of 30 people were killed last week, less than the previous one, where more than 100 were killed.
Four regions of Nigeria have been hit hard by the killing of at least one person in recent weeks, with only one in the south-west and south-south not being reported.
