The Government Kaduna State on Monday (March 12) declared a 24 hours curfew in Kaura and Jema’a local government areas of the state.
Samuel Aruwan, the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs made the declaration in a circular published in Kaduna.
Samuel Aruwan stated following direction from security agents, the Government of Kaduna announced the curfew in Kaura and Jema’a local government areas with immediately.
This action to support the security agents to stabilise the crisis in the areas, save people of the community and property and enable the install of law and order,’’ he stated.
He expanded that security personnels have full authority to declare the curfew.
“The State Government pleas to all citizens of Kaura and Jema’a LGAs to work with the safety personnels in the serious task of reclaiming peace and order.
“State Government of Kaduna also decries the unrest and all acts of crime that have happened in the area.
Samuel Aruwan stated further information would be published when necessary.
