President Buhari, Vice President, Govs to attend APC Pre-Convention Seminar Friday

The President of Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, will on today (March 25) attend a pre-convention seminar with governors of APC, at the Shehu Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja.

Dr Garba Abari, the secretary of the pre convention policy sub-committee announced this to news correspondents at the APC headquarters on Thursday (March 24).

According to Abari , the event titled ‘Consolidating Democracy: Scorecard, Impact and the Road Ahead’ would consider techniques for accomplishing an inclusive and distinct program trajectory for the party.

The general purpose of the All Progressive Congress policy convention is to posture thought authorities of the party and sector leaders, examine on the current and future policy principle of the party and provide a reform plan which the party will lead over the next level of our leadership building on the current achievements, including the outcomes from the Local and State Governments.

“The general goals are; to examine the success of the All Progressive Congress controlled subnational and national administrations, analyse introspective pathways towards-mapping the fortune to link the gaps and open the valuable capacity of the country.

Harmonise a sustainable enactment agenda with the execution framework as a follow-up to existing policies, plans and projects programmes. The party policy seminar will be structured into various council discussions that will concentrate on core thematic areas as follows: governance, economy and human development,” Abari elucidated.

He remarked that this would allow resource persons and partakers to build a central backbone that holds APC development agenda since 2015

He stated the sessions will be formulated to be severe, interactive, and stimulating between the partakers and committee

The committee’s co-chairmen are Governors of Ekiti and Borno, Dr Kayode Fayemi and Prof. Babagana Zulum respectively.
