Katsina Police Kill Two Bandits, Recover Guns



The Police Command of Katsina state has killed two bandits in its actions to get rid of criminal activities in the north-western state while regaining AK-47 rifles.

Gambo Isah, the State Police spokesperson announced this while briefing journalists on Monday in Katsina, said the terrorists were neutralised after their invasion on Kahiyal community in Bugaje village in Jibia LGA of the state.

He said that the victory was achieved some hours after the police received anxiety call that gunmen in their numbers equipped with AK-47 rifles ambushed the community.

According to the police public relations Officer, the Divisional Police Officer Jibia led a squad of police officials connected to the command’s Anti-Kidnapping Unit as well as some vigilante community members to their likely departure route and confronted the criminals in a gun fight thereby withstanding their intended invasion and neutralising two people out of them.

He also extended the appreciation of Idris Dauda Dabban, the Commissioner of Police to police detectives and vigilante group members that contributed in the successful of the operation.
