There appears to be serious problem in All Progressive Congress, APC in Akwa Ibom State chapter following the induction of Stephen Leo Ntukekpo led State leader by the Party National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu governed National Working-Committee.

Secretary of the extinct Caretaker-Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, John Akpanudoedehe has already appealed to the APC National Secretariat to revoke the recognition of Ntukekpo’s leadership to avoid forming illegality in APC chapter of Akwa Ibom.

Mr Akpanudoedehe’s petition explains the activity of National Chairman is in disregard of the (April 7) Court of Appeal rule stating that status quo be retained in the Akwa Ibom APC leadership until the Appeal is listened to on May 17.

The emergence of Mr Augustine Ekanem governed APC leadership at a congress held on (16 October 2021) has stayed contentious since then steering to teams in the state-chapter of the party.

The two warring teams are being stimulated by two powerful politicians of Akwa Ibom State.

Ekanem has the backing of the secretary of the extinct (CECPC), Akpan John Udoedehe, while Ntukekpo led leadership is supported by the Ex-Governor and Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio
