Chief Ikechi Emenike, the Leadership of All Progressive Congress Abia State chapter has asplained that zoning of the 2023 Abia governorship ticket is of no moment, saying what is significant is quality leadership.
The Chairman talked at a meeting of the party stakeholders which was organised by Barrister F N. Nwosu, the APC National Welfare Secretary in his hometown in Obingwa LG area of Abia state.
He said what the Abia needs now is a quality administrator irrespective of where he or she appears from to move the state forward from its current underdevelopment and backwardness.
He regretted that the state is yet to observe any substantial level of I’mprovement since 1999 when the major opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party has held the government, strengthening that the time to end the direction had come.
University of Nigeria pro-chancellor, Emenike, retained that “in view of the existing circumstance no sensible voter in Abia state will be expected to vote for the party unless those who are sustaining from the matter”
He said that if given with the leadership of the state in election, he would not only bring the predicted turn around, but would also fasten up the improvement to close the missing ground within short time
Furthermore, Dr. Kingsley Ononogbu, the Abia state chairman of the opposition party remarked how the state is in terrible need of a liberator to break down the period of administration of godfatherism and entrench growth.
Ononogbu explained fortunately, the people have seen the liberator and devoted leader in Emenike, who he depicted as “God sent” and instructed the members to work towards securing his success in the forthcoming election.
