Katsina Police Kill Two Gunmen, Rescue Kidnapped Victims

The operatives of Katsina police command has killed two gunmen and rescued kidnapped victims in Tsamiyar Gamzako community in the state.

Gambo Isah, the state police spokesman declared this during a press briefing held at the Force Headquarters in the state.

He said the gunmen were neutralised following a discomfort call received by the command that they fired on Tsamiyar Gamzako village in Kafur LG Area of Katsina and abducted an old woman and her one and helf year old daughter.

He stated a collective squad of police and a vigilante members were stimulated as they barricaded and confronted the gunmen in a severe gun fight, repelling their invasion.

Kidnapped people were rescued unhurt and ammunition, gun were collected from them.

While remarking that some of the criminals escaped and disappeared the scene, the PPRO noted that security detectives are still searching the location with a view of apprehending the fleeing criminals.

,Idrisu Dabban Dauda, Katsina CP praised the efforts of the security officials and vigilante in repelling the attack.

He assured members of the community that the police will proceed to deal extremely with recalcitrant criminals until they are all brought to justice. He, hence, instructed them to continue to collaborate with security mechanisms by providing helpful information on crimes.
