Taraba Explosion: Death toll rises to 16, As Police confirm Six

The Tuesday Explosion that happened in the Iware market in Ardo Kola LG area of Taraba State, the victims have risen to 16 according to local sources.

But, DSP Abdulahi Usman, the Police Command of Taraba State spokesperson stated the demise number had risen to six.

Different sources in the community, comprising, Mrs Abaagu Esther, Musa David and James Audu notified journalists that 10 individuals, who were received to different hospitals, died between Tuesday-night and the early hours of yesterday.

“At least 16 victims who were taken to different hospitals for medical treatment after the outbreak died between last night and this morning

The condition of those still in the hospital is not too favorable; we are only pleading for their survival,” Audu explained in a text message.

The people of Iware community have called on Taraba state government and security mechanisms to investigate the outbreak and work towards preventing a replica of the incident
