Ogun Police arrest Nine Kidnappers in Abule Oba

The Ogun state police command has arrested nine suspected kidnappers in Abule Oba village in Ogun State.

They are said to be suspected kidnappers terrorising the Ayetoro/Abeokuta area of the state.

According to statement released by Ogun State police spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi. The suspects are Kehinde Jimoh, Ali Morandu,Hammed Taiwo, Sanda Aliu, Usman Mohammed, Umaru Momodu, Usman Abubakar, Umaru Ahmadu and Umar Sanda were apprehended

During interrogation in which two of the confessed to be part of the group which is to run an errands and watch the location before their operation.

He said their confession led to the finding of the hideout of kidnappers at Abule oba, along Ayetoro road, where they always congregate after receiving ransom from their kidnapped victims.

The police mobilized police personnel, local hunters, amotekun for the joint operation stormed the place and apprehended the nine team

Lanre Bankole, the Ogun state commissioner of police conveyed achievement about the intelligence based investigation achieved by his officers which led to the arrest of the criminals has authorized the timely transfer of the suspects to anti-kidnapping unit of the state criminal investigation and intelligence department for further investigation” he decided.
