CVR registration hits 8.56 million as INEC receives 15 million Voter transfer applications

INEC-Independent National Electoral Commission announces new registration in the ongoing CVR has hit 8,564,512, on Monday, 15th of April.

The Electoral body announced this in a Continuous Voters Registration Update published in the Commission headquarters on Monday night in Abuja.

INEC also revealed that 5,111,899 registered people had finished their registrations with 2,228,913 through online and physical registration recorded 2,882,986.

According to the electoral commission, the gender analysis of the registered voters that have accomplished their registration constituted 2,573,967 female and 2,537,932 male

The News Agency reports that the published statistics also suggested that 3.5 million are youth while 43,153 are Disabilities (PWDs).

The report also indicated that on Monday as at 7:00am, INEC had accepted 15,071,668 requests for voter transfer applications on for the replacement of PVCs, an update of the voter information index, etc.

It strengthened that 7,957,756 of the requests were collected formalised and females with 7,113,91figuresre by which 4,120,254 of the request were from students and 142,807 from people with Disabilities.
