2023 Presidency: Ex-Gov, Amosun announces intention to contest for President

The Ex-Ogun state governor and current senator of Ogun central, Ibikunle Amosun scheduled to announce his intention to run for the post of President in the forthcoming general election.

The request was extended to the red chamber in a message issued in April 25 and read at house plenary by the Ahmad Lawan, the Senate President.

According to the former gov, the event, which is planned to take place on 5th of May would take place at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre, FCT Abuja, at 11 a.m.

The invitation letter addressed to Ahmad Lawan, it is with great honor that I write to inform you and my Distinguished lawmakers of my ambition to contest for Presidential post oI our dear nation and to officially invite you and my Distinguished senators to the official declaration occasion.

I have been honored by God to administer as Senator of our country between 2003-2007 and as eight years Governor of Ogun State between 2011 to 2019. I have also had the freedom to be voted a second-time to the federal Senate in 2019 where I presently serve the people of Ogun Central.

“My mixed experience in public and private life has instilled me with requisite knowledges, experiences and format of connections sufficient to deliver an administration that will galvanize Nigeria to fulfill her manifest destiny as authority in Africa and of the black nationality
