Money for Rapture: Ekiti Police invite Pastor involved

The Ekiti State police command said they have invited pastor who said to preached rapture for money to believers for investigation

Nuah Abraham, a pastor of Royal Christ Assembly in Kaduna State, had ask congregations to proceed to a camp in Araromi Ugbesi in Omuo Oke in Ekiti State, to assemble for the end of the world, police stated.

Sunday Abutu, the state police spokesperson confirmed this to news correspondents on Wednesday in Ado Ekiti.

Abutu said they invited one mr Abraham on the allegation of asking his congregations to pay 310,000 naira for them to prepare for the-end-of-the-world”.

Police spokesman explained they invited the pastor to elucidate the report which had gone viral on the internet.

NAN reports that a source, who is also one of the pastor’s member verified to reporters that the pastor first went to Ekiti last year from Kaduna State.

He then returned in April to Kaduna State and implore each of his church followers to pay him 310,000 naira before they will be permitted to follow him to Omu-Oke at Araromi-Ugbesi camp in Ekiti State,’’ the source explained.
