More than 6 billion euros were raised at a conference in Warsaw aimed at supporting Ukraine in its fight against Russia.

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced the aid, saying the money would be used to help Ukraine and other supporters at the same time as it is fighting Russia.

The prime minister said the summit showed a “great deal of cooperation” among European countries at the same time as Russia’s death in Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed a video conference at a conference hosted by Poland, Sweden and the European Union.

The Polish prime minister also demanded that the European Union grant Ukraine membership in the EU as promised.

During the summit, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced the release of 200 million euros in aid to Ukrainian people displaced by the Russian invasion.
