ASUP-Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics has stated it will embark on two week warning strike on Monday (May 16).
In a statement issued today by the union took the decision after the Union Leadership meeting.
According to the Union President, Anderson Ezeibe stated that they suspended April 202, following the signing of MoA with the Federal govt for a period of 12 weeks to allow the govt to authorized the items inside the MoA.
But the federal govt refused to execute and honour their agreement.
ASUU also explained that the federal govt did not make any step at conciliation despite the ultimatum provided.
It also claimed that it lagged away from 9th of May meeting called by Education Minister, pointing out that the meeting went awry to meet main requirements for unified bargaining
The Union claimed to have visited NBTE to examine the issues with the view of solving the problems.
After which another meeting was fixed by the Minister of Education which also failed to meet requirements
