COVID-19 killed 2 million people in Europe, 1 million in United States – WHO

WHO-World Health Organization says the death toll from corona in Europe has exceeded 2 million, while the White House estimates that more than a million people have died as a result of the epidemic.

The agency said in a statement that more than two million people had died as a result of the virus in 53 European countries and some Asian countries.

Records published by the Organisation reveal that as of Wednesday, 2.58 million individuals have died in the region out of over 218 million infected.

This comes at a time when the United States, the world’s most populous country, says the death toll in the country has exceeded one million.

More than 2 years after the outbreak, many European countries have announced plans to abandon their measures to curb the spread of the disease, especially in the area of ​​traffic
