Kaduna Councillor arrested for supplying Guns to Bandits

Kaduna state police command has apprehended a councillor seen with AK-47 rifle in Giwa LG area of the state.

The suspect, Abdulrahman Adamu, who is a performing councillor in the Soba LG Area of the State, was apprehended by the detectives of Operation Puff Adder II attached to the State Police Command during a regular lookout along Galadimawa Road.

The operative suspected the sack carried by the Councillor and six rounds of (7.62 X 39mm) live ammunition inside the AK-47 discovered inside the sack.

The PPRO explained that the suspect has been taken to the police custody for further interrogation and investigation.

The suspect equally admitted to having obtained the firearm from his subordinates, expanding that he was to provide same to criminals around Galadimawa community for their scandalous activities
