Strike: NANS begs Tinubu, Atiku, Others to raise Money for ASUU

NANS-National Association of Nigerian Students has appealed to ex-Lagos gov, Bola Tinubu, Atiku Abubakar and others to raise funds to meet ASUU demands.

A statement approved by Joint Campus Committee Chairman, Ogun state chapter, Damilola Simeon made this appeal on Wednesday (May 18).

Varsity students have embarked on protest nation-wide, stated the apeal followed disappointment of FGN to meet lecturers demands.

The leadership of NANS urged all the presidential candidates particularly those from ruling party and PDP to rescue students from the ongoing strike.

The statement cited, if truly the aspirants have the love of Nigerian students at heart, they should help by gathering money to pay lecturers

Both Poly and Varsity lecturers are on strike which is very awful and unacceptable

The students hereby call upon all aspirants to rescue education of Nigerian students in the spirit of patriotism.

Recall that Naijareporters had earlier reports that over 20 presidential aspirants have acquired ruling party 100 million naira ticket while 17 aspirants have obtained PDP 40 million naira form.
