Soldiers rescued 100 families of Terrorists in Borno, says DHQ

The DHQ-Defence Headquarters has announced that army troops attached to Borno have rescued over 100 families of terrorists in 3 weeks.

In which thirty three of the family members of the terrorists rescued were women while fourteen armed terrorists were killed, fifteen arrested during operations by men of the army troops in the state between last month, 19th of May to June 2nd, 2022.

The troops activities was revealed to the public at the DHQ on Thursday by Media director, Major General Benard Onyeuk, explained that the army also recover bullets and guns from the armed terrorists.

He explained, “On 31st of May, armies resisted attacked by armed criminals at Firm Base Arege of Abadam LG Area of the State. during the fight combatants reacted with exceptional shot capacity and imposed huge losses on those criminals while other disappeared in havoc

Troops recovered 10 guns, ammunitions and other weapons and their operation equipments.

The rescued family members have been handed to authorities for further activities.

The director also stated within the weeks under review forces recovered Nine AK 47 rifles, Twenty bikes, 100 rounds of 7.62MM ammunition, 458 rustled cattle, and also rescued 152 civilians.
