The Admission Board [JAMB] has said that over 3,135 candidates seeking for Admission with high score since 2018 till 2020 denied admission into Tertiary Institution.

The figure based on the admission statistics formulated by the board.

The 2018 to 2020 admission data were made accessible on the board website

While the 2021 data is still under review

In 2018, JAMB remarked that over 4000 scored 300 and above, only 3,368 got admitted while 1000 students were unable to get admission.

In 2009, more than 2500 students scored high mark while 2, 288 gained admission and 679 denied admission

Over 4000 scored high marks while 3,492 got admitted and 1,456 denied admission in 2020.

The board stated reasons for their rejection which based on poor post UTME score, absence from post utme and mismatch of catchment, non acceptance of admission, wrong subject combination and duplicate application.

The board stated why is important to educate candidates on right subjects combination for utme exams.

The board through its spokesperson has last week direct all candidates to link their email to their profile at any CBT centre.
