A party chieftain and two-time former national officer of the All Progressives Congress (APC), High Chief Nduka Anyanwu, has confided that the winner of the recently-conducted 2023 presidential election in the country, Asiwaju
Bola Tinubu shall be sworn-in as President of Nigeria.

Naijareporters reports that Anyanwu described as unpatriotic the deliberate resorts to cheap blackmails and divisive and nefarious propaganda by disgruntled elements within the rank of opposition parties in the country to crucify and stop the new President-elect from being sworn in, come May 29th, 2023.

He was baring his mind on Saturday, against widespread speculations on purported plan to truncate recent victory of APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, during the concluded 2023 general elections by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

Our correspondent recalls that Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu emerged as President-elect of Nigeria, after polling a total of 8,794,726 votes to beat the candidates of other political parties.

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, a former Vice-President of Nigeria, and the presidential flagbearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) scored a total number of 6,984,520 votes cast to come second; while that of labour party (LP) candidate and a former Anambra Governor, Peter Obi, polled a total of 6, 101,533 votes casts to take the third place.

Anyanwu, the current chairman, Governing Board of Administrative Staff College of Nigeria, and a member of APC 2023 Presidential Campaign Council/ Abia Coordinator, Grassroots Mobilization, noted that Tinubu’s presidency has come to stay in the annals of Nigeria’s political history, and cautioned opposition members to refrain from chewing up ethnic and religious sentiments, deceits and unsubstantiated claims against the APC-led administration and, but rather, accept the hands of friendship extended by the President-elect in deepening the nation’s economic and infrastructural growths for good of the people.

He reminded them that government can only succeed when all citizens and critical stakeholders put aside respective ethnic, religious and political leanings, and join forces with government in power, and complement her efforts in providing the needed dividends of democracy to the doorsteps of every Nigerian.

The erstwhile assistant national publicity secretary of the defunct All Nigerian Peoples Party(ANPP), tasked opposition members to render their to the incoming federal government of the All Progressives Congress, to enable it consolidate and engender more developmental strides toward deepening democratic process in every stratas of the country.

Anyanwu particularly called on people of igbo nation not to put all legs in one basket again in politics of Nigeria, as being displayed in current democratic dispensation in Nigeria, but should ensure they queue behind APC and give total supports to the progressive government to be able to build bridges, and negotiate collective desire of the igbo ethnic-nationality to produce a President for the country, which he regretted had continued to elude the ethnic race.

He reassured that APC and Tinubu’s presidency will continue to include ndigbo in the schemes of things in Nigeria, and further confided that the incoming administration of All Progressives Congress shall hit the ground-running in the building and execution of impactful economic and Infrastructural amenities to enhance development in every parts of igbo land.

He urged the people of igbo nation to disregard mere propaganda and ethnic sentiment being launched against APC and the new President-elect, asserting that only the progressive party can guarantee the quest by igbo nationality to preside the general affairs and administer the resources of the nation.

According to Anyanwu, “ndigbo must get it right this time around. We will no longer sit on the fence and be asking for chance to produce a President for the country.

“We must build bridges, interface and reach out to our brothers and sisters in other geopolitical zones, and prevail on them to see reasons and support southeast of igbo extraction to take its turn in presenting a candidate for Nigerian President.

“I call on people of igbo nation to ignore the propaganda by the opposition members who are only crying more than the bereaved, because they lost elections, forgetting that in a competitions, they must be losers and winners.

“So, they should stop hulucinating and queue behind APC to enable it continue dispensing democratic dividends to Nigerian people who reaffirmed their confidence in the governing party in electing Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as President-elect. And i want to tell them come May 29th 2023, Asiwaju will be sworn in as President Muhammadu Buhari’s successor”.
