Kogi State Ministry for LG & Chieftaincy Affairs Distributes Educational Materials to the 21 LGAs

The acting Hon. Commissioner and Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hajia Habibat Tijjani has distributed some educational items to all the 21 LGAs across the state, she represented the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alh. Yahaya Bello at the occasion.

Hajia Tijjani used the occasion to appreciate the governor for creating an enabling environment for the ministry to intervene thereby bringing positive development to the grassroots, and she called for the judicious use of the materials by school managers and teachers.

The technical assistant to the acting Hon. Commissioner, Hon. Arome Alfa who spoke on behalf of the ministry appreciated God and His Excellency for always giving the ministry the much needed support and encouragement to drive the needs in the ministry, most especially in the area of intervention to the grassroots, he emphasized that, without sound education, he said, some of us will not be seated at our present positions and charged all the 21 LGAs directors of local government and heads of education across the local government areas of the state to make proper use of this opportunity by reaching out to the targeted beneficiaries which are secondary and primary school pupils for maximum benefits

Various speakers spoke in appreciation of the government as the books were distributed free to the beneficiaries.
Highlight of the occasion was the flag off of the distribution of the educational materials to all the 21 LGAs directors of local government with a charge to replicate similar flag off at their local government areas.

Our reporter gathered that, similar interventions was carried out by the ministry in the area of Health, intervention on behalf of flood victims and others.
