They said the natives were quite appreciative of the minister in fulfilling his promise he made in 2015 to the indigenous people of Karu/Kuchi to decongest their communities to a new expansion.

They noted noted that after vigorous processes, consultations and verifications over the years, the minister finally approved the land allocation to the original inhabitants of Karu/Poroko people and other Nigerians, including the Hausa/Fulani, Koros, the Jabas, Tivs, Yorubas and Igbos that have living peacefully in the area.

They, however, berated some persons claiming to be indigenous stakeholders of Karu whom they said are settlers that area making inciting comments among the good people Karu chiefdom.

According to them, the utterance by such persons who are parading themselves as stakeholders of Karu indigenes, which they said such people’s only aim was to cause confusion and disharmony among the people of Karu.

“In fact, it is the same sets of persons that are the foot soldiers of the deposed old king makers that were served letters and relieved of their position in 2017 by the late Sa’karuyi chief Emmanuel Kyauta Yepwi, we have been waiting for this kind gesture on the Karu/ Kuchi layout for over seven years,” they said.

They added”even as we are still in the mourning period of our late Father, HRH. Chief Emmanuel Kyauta Yepwi (the Sa’karuyi of Karu) whose dream was for the actualization of the Karu Kuchi/Poroko expansion layout, and also distorting the process of selecting the new King by the Karu king makers whom are vested with our traditional mandate to select a new king as enshrined by the AMAC and FCT administration,”

They, therefore, assured the minister that as soon as the allocation are ready and handed over to them through Senator Philip Aduda, a committee set up by the late Sa’akaruyi of Karu, that comprised of district heads, village heads, Madaki, and wards heads as well as youth will ensure it is judiciously utilized.
