Anyanwu hails Uzodinma on Oguta Seaport dredging project in southeast

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, from the southeast region of the country, High Chief Nduka Anyanwu, has lauded the administration of Governor Hope Uzodinma on its monumental developmental strides in Imo state.

He was speaking with a cross section of Journalists in reaction to the recent flagging off of the dredging of Oguta seaport located in the state by the federal government of Nigeria.

The dredging of the project from Oguta lake, Orashi to Atlantic ocean, is funded by the Imo government and the public private partnership (PPP).

Anyanwu particularly, applauded Uzodinma for further rekindling confidence of people of the igbo nation in the APC, not just as a party, but as a sure route for Ndigbo in producing a President for the Nigeria, and even development in southeast zone as demonstrated at the recent historic flag- off ceremony of the dredging of Oguta seaport in imo state by the APC led federal government.

He also applauded President Muhammadu Buhari for the all-inclusive government being ran in the country, wherein the southeast of igbo extraction has continued to benefit enormously from his administration’s developmental programs, projects and social empowerment and development schemes and packages, confiding that the administration of the All Progressives Congress shall always involve Ndigbo and all other ethnic nationalities in decision making process of the country as it is unrelenting in its already-layed and achieved feats in economy and infrastructure; and as well raising the bar in security of lives and properties of the imo citizens.

His words: “He has equally redefined governance in the state and southeast as a whole, through implementation of other development-oriented and impactful projects, and has also continued to ensure provisions of social amenities, which has given every facets of the state an economic facelifts.

“And this and many others had created direct positive impacts in ease of doing businesses in imo. The state is turned as a new destination for inflows of local and foreign business investments courtesy the current administration of the APC in imo under the watch of Governor Hope Uzodinma.

“Realistically, among many of the developmental gains of the present state government scattered across all the local government areas of the three imo senatorial districts, i can attest that the flagging of dredging of Oguta seaport by the federal government is historic. Historic in the sense that past successive administrations failed woefully to display total political will towards resuscitate the seaport which undisputably, had been in comatose for past years without any of these past administrations adopting proactiveness to revamp the seaport”.

The former two-time member of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the governing All Progressives Congress in the country, commended Governor Uzodinma for effective and efficient security architecture put in place in imo which he maintained had drastically reduced acts of criminalities once seen in the eastern state.

His words: “undoubtedly, the current security architecture put in place the governor has degraded men of underworld and haters of peace. When i said haters of peace, i mean, the rearing insecurities which once disturbed the very peace of inhabitant of imo state and its environs.

“If you can recall how these insecurities that reared out their heads in imo, you would understand it is purely politically motivated and sponsored by serial election losers. And these serial election losers have hurriedly descended too petty and have ceaselessly launched many series of unjustifiable attacks, cheap propaganda, blackmails, character assassination and campaign of calumny, just to stop the governor from returning for second term.

Anyanwu who doubled as the current chairman, Governing board council of Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCN), further noted that Uzodinma’s administration had engendered the existing political stability being witnessed in imo state, amid the machinations by the opposition elements to heat up the state and its environs.

The member of the disbanded APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC)/Abia state coordinator Grassroots Mobilization for Tinubu/Shettima 2023 Presidency, affirmed the imo helmsman has equally guaranteed conducive and safe environment for all opposing parties, socio-cultural groups, religious bodies, civil society organizations, independent and non government organizations (NGO) in the state to vent their respective opinions in critical government’ policies and programmes
as it affects the citizenry, admonishing imo electorates to rally-round and reelect Uzodinma for another term in the forthcoming November 2023 Gubernatorial election in the state by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

He assured Imolites both at home and diaspora that Uzodinma’s reelection come november this year, will enable him to consolidate on the already- achieved economic and Infrastructural strides by his government, and as well as propel more developmental projects in every parts of Imo for continued enhancement of the welfare of indigent imo people and non Indigenes residing in the state.

The Abia party stalwart, however, used the medium to urge imo electorates to ignore the undemocratic behaviours of few disgruntled opposition party leaders, which according to Anyanwu, are bent and desperate to truncate current total security of lives and properties being enjoyed by citizens and residents of the Nigeria federating state, while further urging eligible voters from the state to shun political moneybags who may want to bribe and lure them into unmeriticulously electing them to assume various political leadership seats in Imo, solely and unjustly to amass common patrimony of the state to enrich their families, close political associates and few staunch followers to the detriment of the Imolites immediately they gets into the offices.

The ex-APC national assembly hopeful partly Imo people knows those who came to contest or vie for the coming gubernatorial elections, and also know those who joined the Imo 2023 Governorship race to play a spoilers roles, and as well, those who are in the race to act scripts prepared by their godfathers, sponsors and paymasters to instigate chaos and civil disturbance before, during and after the fast approaching state election.

“But for Senator Uzodinma who currently flys Gubernatorial ticket of APC for a second term, no iota of doubts that the visible and uncommon transformations seen in every facets of the state’s economy and critical infrastructure has already given imo leader victory to return to the state government house come November this year”, Anyanwu added.
