FG Honors Former Principal Kings College Lagos, Chief Sylvester Momoh Onoja.


The Former Principal, Kings College Lagos, Chief Sylvester Momoh Onoja, OON has bagged the National Productivity order Merit, NPOM, award.

Dr Onoja was among notable Nigerians recommended for the Presidential award for his contributions to the development of education in Nigeria.

Onoja who started his teaching career from Ilorin Grammar School moved to federal level were he rose to Vice Principal, Administration variously at Federal Government College in Suleija now Suleija Academy and others.

He was also Principal Federal Government College Ugwolawo in Kogi state among many other positions he held in the Federal Ministry of Education.

The Presidential award winner was a member of numerous committees and adhoc bodies before his appointment as Commissioner for Education in Kogi state for consecutive eight years between 2003-2011.

In 2012 , Dr Sylvester Momoh Onoja was appointed Chairman Teaching Service Commission, TSC in Kogi state, a position he held till 2016, were he retired to consultancy and curricular expert and advisor in Education.
