Gani emerges AISA president in FCT

Comrade Muhammad Nasir Gani has emerged as president of the Abuja Indigenous Students Association (AISA) in the territory.
The electoral committee chairman, Sani Saidu, who made the declaration at the end of association election in Abuja, over weekend, also declared Samuel Precious Zadami as vice president, David James Etsu, Secretary, Abdulwahab Saidu Salihu Assistant secretary and Usman Idris Sanusi, Treasurer.
Other elected executives were Magdalene Busa, Auditor, Najiyullah M. Inuwa, Provost, Ezra Shagi Auta, P.R.O 1, Suleiman Muhammad Zaiyanu, PRO II, Abubakar Haruna Saidu and Abdulazeez Aminu as welfare and DOS respectively.
In his inaugural speech after the election, AISA president, Comrade Muhammad Nasir Gani, appreciated God almighty for making it possible to ensure the election was conducted under free and fair atmosphere.
He also thanked the delegates for their tireless efforts ensuring his victory and other executives of the association, assuring that he will work with executives towards impacting on lives especially on welfare of the FCT indigenous students.
According to him, AISA has demonstrated their commitment and resolved to work on solidarity with his office in the quest to continue with the good work of the past administration.
“We strongly believe that this journey though, will be filled with huge challenges but the strength founded on us and confidence by electing us to pilot affairs of AISA for the next three years will take us towards overcoming such challenges,”he said.
Our correspondent observed as certificates were issued to all the elected officials of AISA after their inauguration.
