Gov Bello commended for bringing Peace, tranquillity in Kogi
The administration of Gov. Yahaya Bello has been commended for bringing peace and tranquility to the State, particularly, the Eastern Senatorial District.
Alhaji Muritala Shehu Ogbete, Community leader in Ofu LGA, made the disclosure in a statement issued to Newsmen, said until the coming of Gov. Bello, the Kogi East prides itself as bastion for non State actors to carry arms and inflict terror on the citizens.
The Community leader praised the present government for neutralizing Yakubu Bala Oikwo and several others who have been a thorn in the flesh of the residents.
The Community leader urged the present administration not to rest on it oars, ensure that those who are on the run are arrested and brought to book, pointing out that it is unfortunate that in the present era of civilization, some people still live in the stone age of arming gangs to kill, terrorise, and make Kogi East inhabitable.
The Community leader said no stone should be left unturned in bringing sanity to Kogi East before, during and after the forthcoming November governorship election, insisting that the area can only thrive socio economically if peace and tranquility prevails.
