EDO 2024: Yakubu takes consultation to Abuja, meets critical stakeholders

A former Esan North East Local Government Chairman and a frontline Edo State 2024 governorship candidate, Hon John Yakubu, last week took his consultations to Abuja where he met with some Edo State critical stakeholders to intimate them on his ambition
to run for the office of the governor of Edo State in 2024.

In the meeting with the stakeholders where Yakubu intimated them on his intention to run, he solicited their support to enable him actualized his plans for Edo State.

In their various responses from some of the stakeholders, they described Yakubu as a dedicated Edo State man who is more than qualified to run for the office of Governor of Edo State.

Also during the trip, Hon John Yakubu took time out to be guest of Sulayman Aledeh of PrimeTime on AriseTv. He used the opportunity to highlight the level of development that has taken place in the state and said if given the opportunity to serve, he would build an Edo State of our dreams.

He was also guest of Radio Nigeria Network News where he enumerated his plans to make Edo a better place, a place where all persons can come and do business and live peacefully.

On wednesday night, he was guest to Abuja correspondents of major newspapers covering the Federal Capital. Fielding questions with the reporters, he told them that if given the opportunity to serve the Edo State people, he would put an end to the insecurity caused by those he called ‘foreign invaders’ who drive away our local farmers from their land. He said it was totally unacceptable for those he called ‘foreign terrorists to come to Edo, kill and maim our people and scare them from going to farms.

On the issue of electricity, Yakubu promised to utilise the abundant gas reserve in the state to provide electricity that will make it possible for small scale industries to thrive thereby creating employment for our teeming unemployed youths.

Hon.Yakubu has since returned to Benin City after the successful outing.
