Kogi Guber: Obidient movement 4 Muri, inaugurates exco, charges members to shun politics of calumny

In its bid to commence the activities of the Obidient movement 4 Muri Independent Campaign Council, the group has inaugurated its State Executive Council in Lokoja, kogi state.

The inauguration ceremony that took place on Wednesday in Lokoja, Kogi State capital city was observed with fanfares by all the executive members.

In his address, the Director General of the Campaign Council, Comrade Sunday Bala OMA, commended members of the Executive council for their resilience , urging them to keep the flag flying unceasingly to ensure Muri/Sam 2023 mandate sees the light of day.

Dr Bala therefore charged the newly inaugurated Executives, to shun politics of calumny and imbibe issue based political ideas, which he said Hon Yakubu Ajaka, the SDP candidate have been advocating to be the watch words of all his supporters and followers in the struggle ahead.

OMA said : “The 5 pillar policy trust of Muri/Sam Agenda is focused on Education, Mass Housing for Kogites, revamping of our health sector, infrastructural turn around ,as well as human capital development.

“It will be a waste of time and energy to engage those who aren’t on the same page with us, on non issue based campaign.

“To win them over, we must constantly enlighten them on the Muri/Sam Agenda for which we believe will turn around the fortune of the state in no small measure”.

However, shortly after taking the oath of office which was administered on them by Barrister Atama Aminu, all the executive members resolved to to uphold the principle of non violence and operate within the ambit of the law before, during and after the election.

In particular, the executive members resolved to strictly commit themselves to the struggle with the necessary vigour, pledging to watch their actions and behaviour in order not to trigger off violence in their domain.

“Let our members focus on peace; not fight , not insult. Let teach our members and others on how to play matured politics.

“Tell the voters not to be afraid, for adequate security will be instituted for peaceful polls. Let us go out for full mobilization for Muri/Sam candidature”, newly inaugurated exco charged themselves and members after swearing ceremony.

Equally, the Director Youth/Students mobilization, Comrade Ojogbane Mathias enjoined the members to gird their loins in the task ahead, stressing that the group have the capacity to turn things around in the coming election.

“If we put our act together in full force with strong and adequate motivation , we will produce the desired results for a new dawn.

“We have capacity in kogi , the structure that brought out Obi is still intact and on ground. Major obidient movements have collapsed to Muri/ Sam Obidient group”, he said .

Meanwhile, the executive members who were inaugurated include , the Director General, Dr Sunday Bala OMA; the legal Adviser, Barrister Atama Aminu and the Secretary, Ms Fatuwot Reuben.

Others include; Comrade Mathias Ojogbane , Director of Student mobilization; Prof Samson Egwuda, State Coordinator of the Support Groups; Comrade Edogbo Dickson, Kogi East Youth Leader; Abel Akoji, Deputy Coordinator State Support Groups; Idakwoji Joshua, Secretary, Obidient Support Group Coordinators; Airebo Benjamin, Bassa LGC Coordinator; Etswayo Jacob Obidient movement ,Bassa LGC Coordinator and Hon Owoku Sunday , Deputy DG.
