
Kogi poll; Collects Your PVCs To Vote Out Non Performing Government, Sam Abenemi Urges Lokoja Residents.
With the commencement of collection of permanent voter’s cards against the November eleven kogi State governorship election, the running mate of the Social Democratic party governorship candidate (Muritala Yakubu Ajaka), Hon Sam Ranti Abenemi has renewed his called on the Lokoja residents and prospective voters to approach the electoral Umpire, ” the Independent National Election Commission [INEC] to obtained their permanent voter cards [PVCs] to vote out a government and parties that have inflicted unimaginable poverty and infrastructural deficit on them.
Abenemi, who made the call while addressing a mammoth crowd of supporters and spectators at Mami barracks, Otikiti housing estate, Army signal, Adankolo, and the new layout which constituted Ward A, the largest ward in Lokoja LGA.
He asserted that the President and Commander in Chief of the Federal republic of Nigeria, Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu era as a Democrat will allowed their votes to counts
Abenemi who served as democratically executive chairman of Lokoja local government between 1987-1998 during the military junta and won under the United Nigeria Congress Party [UNCP] posited that voting for Muri-Ajaka/Sam ticket to emergence as governor and deputy governor respectively will mark a new era.
He said their administration will Focus on empowerment of women and youths as to turned their agilities and talents into productive ventures thereby making them to become self-employed and self-reliance.
The duos who are contesting the Governorship under the vehicle of the Social Democratic party [SDP] maintained that as governor and deputy governor of the state respectively, thirty thousand women across the twenty one local government areas would be captured in the first phase of its empowerment scheme to benefit from its five hundred thousand naira each to enable them invest in various businesses of their choices
According to him, Kogi is Blessed with arable land and mineral potentials, assured that Youth of the state would be engaged to contribute their quotas in the socio-economic and political growth of the state by providing them with grant to engage in the Agro- economic businesses.
“To mitigate the economic hardship that the populace were presently facing owing to the percentage salary payment to workers and public primary school teachers over the last seven years under the leadership of the present administration, the social Democratic party deputy Governorship running mate opined that Local government Autonomy would be granted to allowed workers and pensioners regain their lost glories.
While addressing social Democratic party supporters at Adankolo area, Sam Ranti Abenemi, hinted that because of the centrality of the area, he refused as the then State Commissioner of Water resources to site the location of ‘The great Lokoja water’ not to dislocate the residents, urging the habitants to reciprocate the rare gesture to embrace their mandates.
