Kogi Accord Party Guber Candidate, Jibrin Condemns Attack on Ugwulawo Community

The Accord Party’s gubernatorial candidate for the Kogi State November 11th election, Vice Admiral (Rtd) Jibrin Usman, has issued a powerful condemnation in response to the recent attack on the peace-loving residents of Ugwulawo in Ofu Local Government of the State, noting that “this tragic incident has left the community in deep shock and mourning, emphasizing the pressing need for heightened security measures as the election draws nearer.”

In a statement delivered by the Youth Spokesperson of his campaign, Comrade Samuel, in Lokoja on Friday, the former Naval boss emphasized the pivotal role of the state government in ensuring the safety and well-being of its citizens. He implores the government to live up to its responsibilities by implementing robust security strategies that will safeguard the lives and properties of Kogi State residents.

The statement reads in part “The Accord Party’s gubernatorial candidate, Admiral Jibrin Usman, vehemently condemns the recent senseless attack on the peace-loving residents of Ugwulawo in Ofu Local Government, Kogi State. The tragic incident has left the community in shock and mourning, underscoring the urgent need for improved security measures as the election draws nearer.

“Admiral Usman’s commitment to the welfare of the people is exemplified by his track record of establishing naval bases in Banda and Idah during his tenure as the Chief of Naval Staff (CNS). This foresight has not only bolstered the security infrastructure of the state but has also demonstrated his unwavering dedication to the safety of Kogi State’s populace.
