Kogi 2023: SDP’s Muritala Yakubu Ajaka Receives Boost as ICDA backs his Guber ambition
……As ICDA National President Declares Operation “Go Back To Your Community to deliver SDP and it’s candidate.
The National President of Igala Cultural and Development Association, ( ICDA) Alhaji Ahmodu Abubakar Sadiq has declared operation “Go back to your community” as he kick-started the project from his home town, Abocho in Biraidu District of Dekina LGA of Kogi State.
The president made the declaration on Sunday while addressing the people of the area.
He pointed out that, the Social Democratic Party ( SDP) Governorship Candidate Alh. Muritala Yakubu Ajaka has demonstrated capacity and ability to govern the state well, stressing that, the project is for the liberation of the kingdom and the entire state.
He recalled that, the endorsement of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate at the prestigious Igala Unity House, Anyigba some weeks ago has the blessing of our ancestors of the land, the good people of Kogi East and the entire state as it was a demonstration of our collective unity, love, peace and progress of the state.
The president appreciated the people for their patience and understanding, adding that ,the youth of the area should chart a new path to greatness as they can’t continue to be used as instrument of distraction and destruction of lives and properties in the name of political support.
He advised them to shun negative tendencies by embracing peace and political tolerance.
Alhaji Ahmodu then donated the sum of one million naira in support of door to door movement of Muri/ Sam project.
In attendance at the meeting were the Director General Campaign Council ( DG) Alh. Sheik Ibrahim, who donated 400 thousand naira. He used the occasion to advise the youth ,women and the elders to come out in large number and vote for the SDP and its candidate
He equally urged them not to be intimidated by anyone, but be firmed and prepared to defend their votes.
Hon. Amedi Atta, Director of youth mobilization, Hon I. Ijele , Director of news media, Hon Olije, Coordinator Muri/Sam Dekina LGA, Hon. Solomon Agada, Head of Print Media were among the dignitaries that graced the occasion.
