Nasarawa Assembly restates commitment to support state Govt, enhance wellbeing of citizenry

…Expresses satisfaction with quality of work, facility at ongoing new construction of bilingual school in Kwandare.

Nasarawa State House of Assembly Committee on NASIEC, Multilateral and Community Development, has restated its commitment to support the state government to better the wellbeing of people living with disabilities and other vulnerable people in the state to give them sense of belonging and improve on their standard of living.

The Chairman of the Committee Hon. Jacob Kudu (APC Nasarawa Eggon East) stated this when he led other members of the committee to inspect ongoing bilingual school in Kwandare, Lafia LGA of the state.

The lawmaker who expressed satisfaction with the standard and quality of work as well as facility provided in the new structure commended the contractors for doing a good job and urged them to sustain the tempo.

” This visit will enable us to see things for ourselves as we are not here to witch hunt anybody but to assess the project

” We want to assure you of our support and partnership in ensuring the development of your program and project that have direct bearing on the lives of the vulnerable groups,” he said

He lauded the federal government for awarding the contract which he said if completed will go a long way in addressing the needs of Almajiri, disabled and other vulnerable groups in the society,

Kudu assured government of maximum support to achieve the set taget.

He called on the people of the state to continue to support the government of Engr.Abdullahi Sule and the State Assembly in their efforts to work together and provide the basic needs of the people across all facets of life.

Responding, Hajiya Zainab Magaji, the Project Manager, Bilingual Education Project commended the State Assembly and the Committee for taking their time to inspect the project.

She appreciated the support the project is getting from the assembly so far calling for it sustenance.

She assured the leadership of the state assembly of their commitment to deliver on their mandate just as She appreciated the State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule for his support to the agency to succeed.
