An Islamic Cleric in Nasarawa State, Mallam Kasimu Dahiru, has urged politicians to fulfill their campaign promises to their electorates for the overall development of the country.

He also called on parents to ensure proper upbringing of their children in a Godly way to build an egalitarian society.

Dahiru, who is the Chief Imam of Millionaire Quarters Lafia, Nasarawa State made the call while presiding over wedding fatiha between Hon Hudu A Hudu, member representing Awe North constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly and his beloved wife, Asma’u Abdullahi Kani today in Lafia.

The Chief Imam called on the husband to be fair and just to his wives in the interest of peace, unity and development of their family.

According to the cleric, as you are taking a second wife today, you should be fair and just to your wives. No discrimination in any way.

The cleric pronounced Hudu and Asma’u as husband and wife after the payment of N70, 000 as dowry and presentation of medical certificates.

He urged the couple to show love and understanding for their marriage to last forever.

The cleric also urged the couple not to allow third party interference in their marriage and prayed God to bless the union.

He further urged them to embrace other good virtues of marriage such as love, care, effective communication, tolerance, peace, understanding among others for their marriage to be successful.

He wished them God’s guidance, protection and blessed marriage life.

Also speakings, Hon. Abubakar Sarki Dahiru, member representing Lafia/ Obi federal constituency at the National Assembly and Hon Solomon Yakubu Akwashiki, member representing Lafia Central at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, have urged the couple to show understanding and be patient with each other for their marriage to succeed.

The lawmakers while congratulating the couple prayed God to bless their marriage abundantly.

Alhaji Adamu Ahmadu, stood in as representative of the bride’s family while Alhaji Hashimu Aliyu, Sarkin Kanje, who stood in as a representative of the Groom’s family called on the couple to be patient with each other.

The Sarkin Kanje prayed for a fruitful and blessed marriage life.

Responding, Hon Hudu A Hudu, member representing Awe North constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly apreciated God for their successful marriage.

Hon Hudu prayed God to guide him in handling the affairs of his family, especially now that he has added second wife.

” I feel delighted today and I pray God to guide me to handle the affairs of my family positively ,” he said

Hon Hudu also appreciated the Speaker, members of the House and staff of the Assembly as well as other well wishers for their support.

Hon Hudu, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Finance and Appropriation prayed God to grant them safe journey to their various destination.

The lawmaker used the medium to assure the people of his constituency of sound and effective representation at the state legislature.

It would be reported that the wedding fatiha had in attendance members of the State House of Assembly, traditional and religious leaders among other well wishers.
