The newly appointed chairman of Economic And Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Mr Ola Okukayode said the commission under his watch will build confidence on Nigerians.

He said he will work closely with the management of the commission to ensure that sanity, through tackling corruption and other related crimes in the country.

Kayode, spoke when he received the FCT commissioner for Public Complaints Commission (PCC) Ezekiel Musa Dalhatu, during a courtesy visit to the commissions headquarters in Abuja, on Friday.

The EFCC chairman, while appreciating the PCC commissioner for the visit, assured that the commission will continue to partner with him towards tackling financial crimes and other related corruption cases in the FCT.

Earlier, the FCT PCC commissioner, Ezekiel Musa Dalhatu, commended the commission and its management for their courage in prosecuting economic crimes in the country.

He, however, informed the EFCC chairman that he was at the commission headquarters to make case for the indigenous people of the FCT in the area of recruitment.

He, therefore, appealed to the commission management to as a matter of social justice allowed federal character principles guide the commission.

The PCC commissioner assured the commission’s readiness to partner with the EFCC towards tackling corruption and other related crimes in the society.

Our correspondent report that, the meeting, which had in attendance, secretary of the commission and other management members centered on finding ways to combating corruption through effective partnership and collaboration.
