ESV (Dr) Umar Musa Galadima is the
Galadima of Marmara in Nasarawa LGA. He combines the advantages of the
traditional title holder, civil servant and a politician.
A rich businessman and retired experienced civil servant, Galadima is popular among the youth. His long years of philanthropy to several households and individuals within
the zone, spanning over 10 years, would attract for him great goodwill in the election.
The multiplier effect from family and relatives of beneficiaries of his numerous empowerment programmes, which are in thousands, can
only be imagined when considered in terms of votes that would accrue to him from those who sees him as their benefactor.
Galadima is also from Nasarawa/Toto Federal Constituency, which makes him, a beneficiary of the zoning campaign within the party. And being a former Senatorial aspirant, he equally has the necessary zonal, state and national political network that gives him mileage.
Moreover, Galadima is a traditional title holder in Marmara. He is the
Galadima of Marmara, a foremost title reserved only for the most illustrious and the most generous in the community. This will naturally curdle some good advantage to him within the traditional and religious circles. It would also naturally have a multiplier effect on his party, PDP and even the would-be gubernatorial candidate when the chips are down.
