The caretaker chairman of Dekina local government area, Hon. John Urah Ikani, has today celebrating his birthday and has promised to continue to deliver on the promises he made to his people roughly six months ago when he took oath of office.

According to Hon. John Urah Ikani, “If it were not for you, Lord, I don’t know where I would be today. I thank you for hiding me under the shadow of your wings and for always coming to my rescue.

If it had not been the Lord who was on our side when men rose up against us, then they would have swallowed us alive when their wrath was kindled against us. Then, the waters would have overwhelmed us; the stream would have gone over our soul; and then the swollen waters would have gone over our soul.

Blessed be the King of Kings, who has not given us as prey to their teeth.

Our soul has escaped as a bird from the snare of the fowlers. The snare is broken, and we have escaped.
