FHA to Build 7400 Housing Units in States, FCT

The Federal Housing Authority FHA has commenced the process of building two hundred housing units(200) units in each states of the country and FCT, amounting to 7400 units across the 36 States , with the opening of the bid for construction of the houses.
The Managing Director, Federal Housing Authority FHA, Rt Honourable Oyetunde Oladimeji Ojo made this remark in Abuja during the opening of the maiden bidding process organized by the Authority on Monday , beginning from the South South geopolitical zones to others five zones in the subsequent days .
The Renewed Hope Housing estates according to the Managing Director, will be massive this time around, across the 36 states, the Federal Capital Territory FCT, unlike the previous arrangements that was always in cluster .
While asking for more cooperation from stakeholders, Oyetunde Ojo said the authority has embarked on transparent and accountable process to avoid any misgivings and misstep in the course of erecting the new buildings.
Ojo used the opportunity to appreciate the state governors for their gestures , particularly in the provision of lands, that had relieved the authority of the cost of acquiring land .
“We believe in quality and deliverance of quality jobs over 51 years , stating that employment and engagement opportunities will also be provided during the commencement of the nation wide projects.”
“By the time we start , artisans, engineers, contractors and food vendors among many others will be fully engaged, as that is the essence and template the Renewed Hope Agenda is built .”
About 7,4000 initial and affordable units of houses will be provided across the country in the next one year and FCT, as the agency is determined to provide immediate funds through its internally generated revenue IGR, to fund the newly embarked Renewed Hope Housing Projects across the country, Oyetunde Oladimeji Ojo maintained.
