Peter Dunia commends Tinubu, showers encomium on Tompolo
A forefront entrepreneur Mr. Peter Omoh Dunia has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for signing into law the 2025 Act of the National Assembly enabling the establishment of the Nigeria Maritime University (NMU), Okerenkoko, Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State.
The Warri based entrepreneur popularly known as Peter Black in a message to Mr. President noted that the action is a true reflection of Tinubu’s visionary leadership, and has become the turning point for a full takeoff of the university.
According to Dunia “the present administration’s devotion to the development of the Niger Delta is evident in this singular act. The Nigeria Maritime University will surely promote academic excellence, research and innovations in the region.
“It will also engender socio-economic development of its catchment areas” .
In the same vein, Dunia acknowledged and appreciated the contribution of High Chief Government Ekpemupolo for providing the initial infrastructure for the take off of the university.
He said: ” let me particularly commend Our General Officer Commanding (GOC)”, High Chief Dr. Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, aka Tompolo, the Chairman/Chief Executive of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL) for his instrumental role in ensuring the success of the institution.
“His provision of the initial infrastructure for the takeoff of the institution is truly commendable.
“Tompolo has been the ray of hope for the region- championing their demand for good governance, infrastructural development and inclusiveness”.
Dunia added that the people of the region shall continue to be grateful to Tompolo.
He noted Mr. President’s commitment to giving priority to matters concerning the Niger Delta region saying “it is unalloyed”
On his part he stated “as a loyal son of the region, I pledge my continued support for this administration.
“I am confident that Mr. President’s leadership will continue to bring significant development to the region”.
Dunia prayed that the Almighty God protect and guide Mr. President and High Chief Tompolo, as they give listening ears to the needs of the Niger Delta people.
